One of Lewisville’s big advantages is the convenience of its travel-friendly location. Lewisville is positioned on IH-35E, SH 121 and is a couple minutes north of the George Bush Turnpike. Lewisville’s ideal location gives motorists several quick options for getting where they want to go anywhere in the DFW area.

Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA)

Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA) offers several services to residents of the three member cities of Lewisville, Highland Village and Denton. Services in the City of Lewisville include GoZone, an on-demand rideshare service comprised of two zones – Lewisville/ Highland Village and Denton. GoZone operates 365 days a year including Sundays, where riders can travel across both zones as well as connect to the DART Green Line.

Access service, a shared ride, origin to destination, paratransit service that provides transportation for disabled residents and visitors, is also available in Lewisville, Denton and Highland Village.

The A-train, DCTA’s commuter rail service, connects Lewisville with Denton to the north and Carrollton to the south. At the southern end, riders can make a simple cross-platform transfer to DART light rail and continue to locations throughout Dallas County, including Fair Park, American Airlines Center, DFW International Airport, Love Field Airport, the Dallas Zoo, and the Dallas Arts District.

Single-ride and multi-ride passes can be purchased at any A-train station. A regional ticket includes both DCTA and DART access. Monthly passes can be purchased at Lewisville City Hall, 151 W. Church Street, during normal business hours.  

North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA)

The North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) has more than 850 tolled lane miles throughout the region.
