The Old Town Lewisville Farmers Market, a seasonal open-air forum for Denton County and North Texas-grown products, will be from May 15 through October 30. The market will be open every Saturday from 8 a.m. to Noon at the Wayne Ferguson Plaza in Old Town Lewisville. Vendors applications for the market will be available on Monday, January 25, 2010. On Saturday, May 15, to celebrate the opening of the market there will be a kick-off event. The kick-off will feature local farmers, vendors, non-profit groups, and businesses that promote a green living environment. Examples of vendors that participating in the past include Keep Lewisville Beautiful, Lewisville Lake Enviornmental Learning Area, and Texas Master Naturalists. Applications for the kick-off will be available on Monday, January 25, 2010.
