Event: Holiday at the Hall Festival

Date: Saturday, December 2, 2006

Time: All Day

Location: Main Street in Old Town Lewisville

Description: Picturesque Old Town Lewisville will be abound with the holiday
activity of strolling entertainment and carolers, live performances on
four stages, Santa’s Village visits, festive carriage rides and more.
Vendors will be on showcase with holiday gifts to purchase, seasonal
arts & crafts, and yummy holiday treats.

Outdoor festival activities begin at 10:00 am with several festival
events beginning earlier. Festival gate admission is free of charge,
with separate entrance fees into some of the individual events. The
2006 Holiday at the Hall festival schedule of events includes a total of
ten events held throughout the day on Saturday, December 2.

Event: Breakfast with Santa

Date: Saturday, December 2, 2006

Time: 7:00 am – 11:00 am

Location: Old Town activity Center, 201 W. Main Street

Description: Santa returns to Old Town Lewisville on Saturday beginning with
Breakfast with Santa. The Greater Lewisville Kiwanis Club will
prepare a pancake breakfast and the Citizens Police Academy Alumni
takes pictures for children’s identification cards. Breakfast will be
served from 7:00 – 11:00 a.m. Tickets are $5/per adult and $3/per
child ages 3-12. Breakfast is free for children 2 and under.

Other activities will include a craft area for the children, letters to Santa, and visits with Santa. Commemorative photo buttons will be available at a cost of $2. from 8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. to take professional photos.


Event: Motorcycle Toy Run

Date: Saturday, December 2, 2006

Time: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Location: Old Town activity Center, 201 W. Main Street

Description: Lewisville’s eighth annual Motorcycle Toy Run will benefit the
children of Denton County with toy donations to more than 1,000
children. Motorcyclists begin arriving for registration at 9:00 a.m. at
American Eagle Harley Davidson Buell in Corrinth located at 5920
South I-35E (exit 461). The toy run will begin at noon and last approximately 20 minutes, ending in Old Town Lewisville on Church Street in front of City Hall. After the ride, event participants will enjoy live entertainment and distribution of the toy donations. Entrance fee is one new, unwrapped toy to be donated to local children’s charities.


Event: Artists Alcove

Date: Saturday, December 2, 2006

Time: 10:00 am – 7:00 pm

Location: S. Poydras Street in Old Town Lewisville

Description: Local and regional artisans will demonstrate their skills, including an
art-glass blower, sculptors, painters and potters.


Event: Polar Ice Excursion

Date: Saturday, December 2, 2006

Time: 10:00 am – 5:00 pm

Location: Charles Street in Old Town Lewisville

Description: Ice-carving artists will create a brilliant (and chilly) winter
wonderland while competing in the first ever Lewisville sanctioned NICA competition. This globe-spanning competition will be the first ever of its kind in the southwest, usually reserved for colder states north of our boundaries.

The 2006 competition is expected to draw more than a dozen of the most talented ice sculpting artists from all over the U.S. Entrants will receive a voting ballot to cast your vote for the People’s Choice award. Admission is free.


Event: Arts Council Showcase

Date: Saturday, December 2, 2006

Time: 10:00 – 8:00 pm

Location: Throughout festival area and on the following stages:
Reindeer Stage inside Activity center , Main Street
Greater Lewisville Community Theater, 160 W. Main Street

Description: The Lewisville Arts Council will be performing at various locations
throughout the festival starting with a special holiday exhibit from the
Visual Arts League inside the Community Theater, strolling
carrollers from the Musical Feast Choral Society and a holiday play entitled Nuncrackerse by the Community Theater on their stage. The Lewisville ballet will also have a special performance of excerpts from the Nutcracker on the Reindeer stage inside the Lewisville Activity Center.


Event: Tour of Homes

Date: Saturday, December 2, 2006

Time: Noon – 5:00 pm

Location: Old Town Lewisville

Description: The history of Lewisville can be told by its beautiful homes
throughout the city. Hop on the free shuttles and join us as we tour Lewisville, from the beauty of the older historic homes to the modern conveniences of the newer ones. Through the collaborative efforts of the Old Town Preservation Society and the Old Town Residential Association, you will be able to visit parts of history. Tickets for this self-guided tour will be available for pre-sale on November 20 at Lewisville Feed Mill on Main Street in Old Town Lewisville and on-site day of at the festival information booth. Ticket prices are $5 per person.


Event: Sam Pack's Ford Country of Lewisville Christmas Parade

Date: Saturday, December 2, 2006

Time: 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Location: Main and Mill Streets in Old Town Lewisville

Description: Join us for our fourth annual Christmas parade in the heart of beautiful Old Town Lewisville! From spectacular floats to marching bands to local community and performance groups, enjoy each group gliding along Main and Mill Streets along the parade route through the festival area.


Event: OTBA Holiday Stroll

Date: Saturday, December 2, 2006

Time: 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Location: Main Street in Old Town Lewisville

Description: In the heart of Old Town Lewisville you will find shops like no other.
Majestically decorated, Old Town businesses will be open for extended hours on this special weekend to welcome you into their place for a visit and a shopping spree. Complete a “Santa Shuffle” stamp card and be entered into a drawing for fabulous Old Town shopping sprees, plus keep the card for terrific shopping discounts throughout the month of December.


Event: Old Town Christmas Tree Lighting

Date: Saturday, December 2, 2006

Time: 5:30 pm – 6:00 pm

Location: N. Poydras Plaza in Old Town Lewisville

Description: Mayor Gene Carey is joined by special guests, including Santa Claus
himself, as he flips the switch to light Christmas trees and bathe Old
Town Lewisville in the twinkle of more than 100,000 holiday lights.
