Weekly open jam and song circle. All acoustic instruments and levels are welcome. All music genres are welcome. Acoustic Fridays are sponsored by the Visual Art League of Lewisville.
The Visual Art League (VAL) provided support and promotion to visual artists from Lewisville and surrounding areas, and operates a public gallery where those artists can display and sell their work. Special exhibits are scheduled throughout the year and at supporting businesses. Additionally, the Visual Art League provides art education in the form of classes, lectures, slide presentations, field trips and demonstrations.

Completely restored and furnished with all the trappings of everyday frontier life, the log house gives visitors to LLELA a window on everyday life in Denton County in 1870. Interested visitors of all ages are welcome to arrive at any time during the open hours and tour at their own pace. Knowledgeable volunteers will be on hand to guide visitors through the structures and answer questions in this informal tour.

Admission: Park Admission: $3 per car for Lewisville residents, $10 per car for non Lewisville residents
Lewisville Lake is the "Urban Bass Fishing Capital of Texas" and is the site of dozens of amateur and professional fishing tournaments each year. Created in 1954 on the Elm Fork of the Trinity River, the lake covers nearly 30,000 acres of surface area and reaches depths of up to 67 feet. Lewisville Lake is rated as "excellent" by Texas Parks & Wildlife for catfish, crappie and white bass, and "good" for largemouth bass and striped/hybrid bass.

Each month Kayak Power provides equipment and instruction followed by a six-mile trip down the Elm Fork to a shuttle vehicle. Paddlers of all skill levels are welcome. Contact Kayak Power at 214-669-1663 for schedule and fee information.
